🔁 Elon Musk boosts The New Yorker report about Sam Altman on X as the trial begins

Elon Musk paid to "boost" on X a post by Ronan Farrow that promotes The New Yorkers extensive investigation into the alleged deceptive behavior of Sam Altman, WIRED confirmed. Musk also reposted the piece from his account and accompanied it with the message: "Calling him 'Scam' Altman is accurate. This is very much worth reading."

The boost appeared to users with a pop‑up identifying @elonmusk as the one who had amplified it; however, no visible "ad" label was shown in feeds, although the options menu allowed actions like "report ad". X states in its FAQ that boosted posts must be identified as advertising and comply with its policies.

The move comes just as Musks civil lawsuit against OpenAI (and against Altman, Greg Brockman and Microsoft) begins in Oakland, where Musk alleges that OpenAI strayed from its original mission without using his investment as he expected. X and OpenAI did not respond to a request for comment; The New Yorker declined to comment.
